Adagio! (pronounced "A-dee-gee-o") stands for "A Definition of Ambition, Goals, Interest and Organization!". The duo of Rayme Supreme (Ray Foges) and Carta’ P. (The Obvious Wonder) were both students at Adelphi University in Long Island, NY. Approximately once a month until they both graduated in 1996, Ray Foges and Carta’ P. would record and work on material for numerous projects and with other up and coming emcees/producers such as Wisdom, BodyGuard and The Juggaknots. In the late 90's until the early 2000's they released some classic 12" EP's including the collector's item "NY To Philly" which was re-released by 90's Tapes / HHV in 2020.
Currently, Ray Foges and Carta’ P. have remained extremely busy and relevant within the Hip Hop community. Ray Foges has re-introduced himself back into the Hip Hop world and in December 2020 he released his debut solo project "Old New Nigga" on Matic Entertainment. Carta’ P. has also been busy releasing multiple projects in 2019 (A Beautiful Mess), 2020 (Today Means Everything & The Starting 5ive Project) and 2021 (In My Silence).
