Adam Barber

Adam Barber is a composer and producer living in Los Angeles. The scope of his work encompasses film, digital media and concert music as well as collaborative efforts with other creative artists, directors, producers and bands.

Barber’s career in Los Angeles spans 20 years of music writing, producing and collaboration. While attending UCLA’s Master’s of Music program, he began interning at Media Ventures (now called Remote Control) on the film Gladiator, with Klaus Badelt. The position led to Barber becoming a technical assistant to Academy Award Winning Composer Hans Zimmer. During this fascinating period, he watched, listened and learned about Zimmer’s perspective on music production and it’s synergy with technology, eventually tech-ing on such films as Hannibal, Mission Impossible II, The Pledge and An Everlasting Piece. After Media Ventures , he began applying the concepts learned to his own workflow and music.

Since Hans Zimmer and Remote Control, he has worked with and for some of films biggest names and talents including 3 time Academy Award Winning Dub Re-Mixer Christopher Jenkins on London Fields, Grammy artist Jeff Lorber on numerous recordings, Danny Elfman, Christopher Young, drummer - Patty Schemel, drummer - Vinnie Colaiuta, drummer - Gary Novak, the amazing harmonica player Tommy Morgan who has worked on over 500 features and many other amazing talented musicians.
