Adam Selzer fronted the bands <a href="spotify:artist:7cFpVYXpiElsCRK0l0ma6b" data-name="Norfolk & Western">Norfolk & Western</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2EllnNbCVu1SsCW5Wv9VCX" data-name="Alialujah Choir">Alialujah Choir</a> before releasing his first solo album, Slow Decay, in November 2020. Based in Portland, Oregon, he founded the recording studio Type Foundry in 1998 where he has produced hundreds of albums for artists such as Peter Buck (<a href="spotify:artist:4KWTAlx2RvbpseOGMEmROg" data-name="R.E.M.">R.E.M.</a>), <a href="spotify:artist:6qiGjRyN7TJ1GA2nXF68Hi" data-name="Blind Pilot">Blind Pilot</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4EVpmkEwrLYEg6jIsiPMIb" data-name="Fleet Foxes">Fleet Foxes</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3CIRif6ZAedT7kZSPvj2A4" data-name="She & Him">She & Him</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7ITd48RbLVpUfheE7B86o2" data-name="The Decemberists">The Decemberists</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6nXSnNEdLuKTzAQozRtqiI" data-name="M. Ward">M. Ward</a> who he also tours with playing guitar and bass.
