Growing up in Madrid, Spain, and now living in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Brie Stoner is a musician, writer, and podcaster who pulls from her multilingual and multicultural background in all of her artist endeavors, including in her most recent single “Hungry.”
As a musician, Stoner has worked with producers Jay Bennett (Wilco) and most recently David Vandervelde (Father John Misty, Secretly Canadian,) who produced her new album, due out 2022. Her sound is freshly her own, but lends from inspirations Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac and Mazzy Star. Stoner’s music has also been featured by Victoria Secret, Orange is The New Black, The Affair, as well as many other international TV and film campaigns.
Brie was co-host on the “Another Name for Every Thing” podcast, which garnered millions of downloads, before launching her own podcast “Unknowing”, which explores the unexpected path of creative possibility with guest artists, authors, and activists.
Her writing is featured in “The Call To Unite: Voices of hope and Awakening,” alongside Oprah, Tim Shriver, Elizabeth Gilbert and more.
During the 2020 pandemic lockdown, Brie returned to her native tongue of music, writing and recording an album in English, Spanish, and French. Her new singles “Honey” and “Hungry” are out now.
