After touring together for several years, members of <a href="spotify:artist:4U5dJPiHBoGjq6GGtth4TF">Earlimart</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3W4xM5XYtUp4ifYYPVKVdk">Grandaddy</a> decided to join forces in 2009. <a href="spotify:artist:2BqjUvq3HLFWNi1buGVxem">Jason Lytle</a>, Aaron Burtch, Aaron Espinoza, and Ariana Murray dubbed their new project “Admiral Radley,” an anagram of the two bands that spawned it, and wasted little time drawing up an album’s worth of nuanced, melodic indie rock.
