The Golden Dogs are a Canadian indie rock band from Toronto, Ontario. The group was co-founded by Dave Azzolini (guitar, vocals) and Jessica Grassia (keys, vocals) who are still partners in both life and music. The band has released 4 studio albums and toured extensively supporting notable acts like Sloan, Feist, and Roky Erikson. Their 5th studio album is set for release October 2022.
The Golden Dogs had a revolving line up of amazing musicians from some of Canada’s finest bands including Taylor Knox, Zeus, Brave Shores and Wax Atlantic. Their most critically acclaimed album - Big Eye Little Eye - included a cover of Paul McCartney’s Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five which was included in a special edition McCartney tribute compilation issued by Mojo Magazine. The song ‘YEAH!’ from their debut album, Everything in 3 Parts, is well known for being part of the Vampire Diaries (TV series) soundtrack.
