Founded by drummer Renmin Nadela in December 26, 1993 with the aim of revolutionizing the ears of audiences, AGAW AGIMAT was one of the most active bands in the 90's, having toured almost all the key cities in the archipelago.
After a 9 year hiatus, founder Renmin Nadela decided to re-form Agaw Agimat in 2016 -- now armed with new members as the band's 4th generation: Wendy Villanueva from the Punk Ska band The Republicats who has been active in the underground punk scene since 1987 on vocals. Adeng Maron, songwriter from the metal band Orb of Blood is the new bassist. Reiner Espiel, songwriter for multiple indie bands is the new guitarist since July 2025.
