Determined & inspiring sums up the way Indigenous Singer-Songwriter Aimee Hannan lives her life.
Aimee found her love of Country Music at age 10, joining the local country music club. Soon after was selected to open Lee Kernaghan’s “Hat Town” Tour in Gladstone QLD. Then traveled the countryside competing in festivals throughout Queensland & NSW with great success as well as graduating from both the Junior & Senior programs at the CMAA Academy of Country Music.
Singing is a major part of Aimee’s life but it became increasingly difficult to perform as she was struggling with a rare medical condition that was causing her heart to fail and became necessary for Aimee to have her leg amputated, but staying true to herself Aimee was back on stage months later performing from her wheel chair until her prosthetic was made.
After competing in Today’s Country Brand New Star, she connected with fellow artists Gina Jeffreys & Max Jackson & with their help co-wrote a collection of songs, some of which Aimee recorded on her Debut Album “Stronger”.
In 2018 Aimee appeared on The Voice season 7, securing a spot on Team Delta’s Top 12 - an amazing experience which helped Aimee to open up to who she truely is & let everyone see the real her.
Since then Aimee has been busy writing with many different artists including Lyn Bowtell & Allan Caswell to create a collection of stories to help introduce her true self to the world. Aimee's second studio album is due to be released early Nov 2022.
