As an original Backstreet Boys member since 1992, he contributed to all their albums, including chart-toppers like Millennium (1999), Black & Blue (2000), and DNA (2019). Apart from the group, McLean, occasionally known as Johnny No Name, embarked on a solo career, releasing the debut album Have It All in 2010. This marked the beginning of a diverse musical journey, including the release of tracks such as "Back Porch Bottle Service" (2018) and "Boy and a Man" (2019) from his country-influenced sophomore album, Long Road.
