Aj x Kay, two sisters Aleigha Johnson & Kayleigh Johnson, passionate about creating music that breaks stigmas and brings light to topics society tells us to keep quiet about.
Music connected us as tightly bonded sisters when we were merely kids and later performing at festivals quickly became our stomping grounds from 2014-2017. During our festival years we performed under a different band name catching eyes of a variety of audiences all over South East Georgia. After some time away from the music scene after facing toxicity and a music deal gone wrong...we're finally releasing our music on our own terms!
The most intricate art is derived from pain and as artists we like to believe our music benefited the years of struggle as it ignited a fire to bring light to narratives we often stay quiet about as a society. Our music is honest, relatable and real whilst being heavily influenced by our film/tv background. Coupling filmmaking and songwriting is a dynamic we can't wait for you to see!
