AJIA is a singer and songwriter originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, based in Washington, D.C. At eight years old, she began singing. AJIA attended schools with a high focus on music and was a part of her schools’ choir and orchestra programs. In 2020, AJIA released her debut single “Broken” and prides herself on creating music influenced by different genres and relatable life experiences.
Her single, "All I Want," is a celebration of my womanhood. "I'm coming into my own, and I want other women to hear this song and feel sexy and liberated—like I did when I wrote it! There are so many things in society that tell us how we should be, look, feel, and what we should do. We can do what we want. We don’t have to bend the rules; we can make our own!
Aside from music, Ajia holds a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law and is committed to artist advocacy.
