Akeine is a talented Ugandan singer/songwriter, beat maker, and live performer. With a diverse musical style that blends Afro-soul, jazz/blues, reggae, dancehall, R&B, and folk, she creates a unique sound influenced by artists like Saida Karoli, Miriam Makeba, Aziz Azion, Jamal, Tove Lo, Timbaland, Brandy, Keri Hilson, Erykah Badu, Ace of Base and multiple other artists. Akeine's passion for music began at the young age of 10 and she has been writing ever since. In 2020, she released her debut single "Wanted" and followed it up with the popular track "Mpumuza" featuring Cxnrvd and Chxf Barry. Throughout 2021, she collaborated with various artists, including Wonder Jr, Kavali King, Joshua Baraka and on a re-mix of Out Of Control by the legendary Henry Tigan. Additionally, her soulful vocals can be heard on tracks such as "Sunset Drift" by Ugandan Hip-Hop legend Navio, "Snapbacks" by KSL Alpha and St.Nellysade, and the recently released "Rwebembera" album by Kohen Jaycee.
