AkizzBeatzz (aka Akis Mantzikos) was born in Greece and grew up in Munich (Germany). It was at the age of 15 that he started experimenting with writing lyrics and music production.
Deeply inspired by sounds from all around the globe and with a great passion for music, he decided to return to Greece at the age of 20 and dedicate himself fully to music.
Following a truly inspiring life changing experience, he starts exploring and further discovering the African culture. It wasn’t long after he started creating his first African edits and international radio stations started broadcasting his work.
His first original mix I’m an African (3rd Best Track of the Year/Bounty Radio, Picks of the Week/Bandcamp) was released under Shango Records (2016), along his second remix "Cumbiaddict" (2016). These were followed by his second original track titled "Inkululeko", which was part of the "Jungle of Ufordia" compilation. All 3 tracks managed to reach the top of the Junodownload.com International Charts.
He recently released with Pingipung Records his Remix of Andi Otto's Track VIA (2017) and has created an Official Funked Up Remix for Antibalas’ "Dirty Money" (2016).
His latest appearance abroad was for the "Groovalicious" Party in Brussels (Belgium) (April, 2017) and he has been appearing in many parties and festivals all around Greece.
