Nairobi-born Akoth Jumadi is A SOUND ARCHITECT, and marked an important entry into the New Music decade (2020’s) shifting gears into a new generation sound that challenged the status quo of the times, adressed the role played in the collective liberation of Humanity and provided new solutions for existing in a world shifting slowly to accommodate the ever changing, unpredictable nature of these times.

Akoth Crafts ethereal folk sounds with Contemporary and Tribal elements, Exploring themes of love, healing, spiritual emancipation, political liberation and Cultural integration in the arts.
Her Debut EP 'Ere Yo' released 2020 saw her establish her voice as one of the sounds shaping the East African Soundscape and pushing boundaries of what The 'East African' overall identity has been over the years.
An 'Ere Yo' Tour saw Akoth play multiple festivals and shows around Eastern Africa and Beyond.
Her Newly released Debut album is ‘YO NI KA’ meaning -The Way is Here-,Was released November 2022 tackles issues of Healing,solitude, remembrance and re-call on Ancestral Identity, Collective Liberation and The New found Realization that The Destination is the Journey.
And That The Way ,is HERE!
