With a decorated 20-year career, Waithaka is an esteemed award-winning music producer (2019 Café Ngoma Producer of the Year), artist, composer, and label owner who has diligently cemented his place in Kenya’s music legacy and the African diaspora. The prolific US-based Kenyan musician went from a novice learning the piano in the early 2000s to becoming a highly accomplished music producer.

Since the start of his career, Waithaka has remained focused on creating timeless music that resonates with diverse audiences. Through his Waithaka Ent label, his catalog boasts an eclectic music palate, from his inaugural all-female debut album <a href="spotify:album:3eTbgi6s1WKIjSfDq5TJPh" data-name="Odes by Queens">Odes by Queens</a>, to the collaborative <a href="spotify:album:77yeDBzL9v308FeLoyypPd" data-name="Blk2541">Blk2541</a>, his joint EP <a href="spotify:album:3DO8RYNWCTQpR2SGICMjvd" data-name="Moshi">Moshi</a> with Zimbabwe&#39;s MJ Wemoto and his latest R&amp;B/Soul album <a href="spotify:album:0RWvz01vbIOwW5Oo3e3ky6" data-name="Soul&#39;d Duets">Soul&#39;d Duets</a>.

Waithaka Ent’s imprint also includes executive-producing 3 of Kwame Rĩgĩi’s EPs &amp; Ayrosh’s debut <a href="spotify:album:1wXLbQIWQQHh2MpCtw9Erf" data-name="Murasta EP">Murasta EP</a>, and co-producing 5 out of 9 songs on Wangechi’s <a href="spotify:album:6LtL5XEtnNShyM1kdR1qFV" data-name="Don&#39;t Consume If seal is Broken">Don&#39;t Consume If seal is Broken</a> EP. Although a diverse artist, Waithaka&#39;s music is rooted in Soul and R&amp;B, having grown up in the 80s. His sound is his personality and he prefers to let the music speak for him. His mantra: &#34;Music is Life &amp; Life is Music.&#34;
