Active on the Toronto jazz scene since the mid 1970s, bassist Al Henderson has recieved a great deal of attention for his adventurous writing style. His compositions have been recorded by <a href="spotify:artist:3qW4lJrnznk1rczaRVcgV5">Time Warp</a> (a group he co-leads with drummer <a href="spotify:artist:3UcGqD2y8hc1Nq91jWTsLh">Barry Elmes</a>), <a href="spotify:artist:0yN6wGJkE7N6zz1kOdkItl">Alex Dean</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0zdSGWAAxDPCaU0Xa3FTQP">Don Pullen</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:5e09vxGJza9YFmRVvCiFKB">Jane Bunnett</a>. Henderson recieved the 1995 Socan Award for Original Jazz Composition, and in the same year was named Composer of the Year by Jazz Report magazine.
