Born and raised in Los Angeles, Albert Kass found an emotional connection to music at an early age. Inspired by the haunting beauty of classical piano pieces played by his sister, Kass began crafting his own compositions, using music as a profound outlet for his creativity. Singing, though unintentional at first, emerged naturally as his musical journey evolved. His sound is deeply influenced by a range of artists including The National, The Black Keys, Neil Young, and Alabama Shakes, blending indie, folk, and alternative elements into a unique and reflective style.

Albert Kass’s debut album, Young Old Man, is a raw and introspective narrative on personal growth and self-reflection. The album showcases years of songwriting and the culmination of his evolving sound, seamlessly weaving together thoughtful lyrics and emotionally charged melodies.

Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Billy Mohler (The Jimmy Chamberlin Complex, Lady Gaga, The Airborne Toxic Event), Young Old Man has received attention from notable publications such as American Songwriter, Grimy Goods, and V13, which exclusively premiered the album before its release. With his honest and vulnerable storytelling, Kass continues to captivate audiences, leaving listeners eagerly awaiting his next musical chapter.
