The universality of pop music can mean different things to different people. For Berlin native musician and producer Albertine Sarges it’s a vessel for self-exploration and growth.
Released in 2021, her cult favourite debut album ‘The Sticky Fingers’ was a self-exploration that took in feminist theory, musings on bisexuality, gender stereotypes, depression and mental health. Albertine Sarges’ new album ‘Girl Missing’, coming January 2025, is a biography of a special love and explores an understanding of loss through the lens of sisterhood.
On stage, AS and her band take the audience through a surprising journey with twists and turns, displaying an insatiable mix of avant-garde pop, weird folk and magical flute. Albertine has previously worked with Holly Herndon, Colin Self, Kat Frankie and Anna B Savage, and is also part of Italian synthwave duo Ostia.
