Após o seu EP de estreia Inside Out divulgado em 2021, lançou com 24 anos o seu primeiro LP, A Viagem Atrás do Sol. Trata-se de um álbum conceptual em português que explora um mundo de sensações vulneráveis e orgânicas, criando uma sonoridade que vai do rock alternativo ao folk, do rock progressivo à música eletrónica.
Influenciado por nomes como Radiohead, Nick Drake, Ornatos Violeta, Porcupine Tree e Red House Painters, a sua música toca em diferentes estéticas que se entrelaçam de forma imprevisível.

Alcabala, João Leal's pseudonym and musical project, was born out of a need to create his own landscape.
After his debut EP Inside Out, released in 2021, the 24-year-old composer, singer and guitarist has just released his first LP, A Viagem Atrás do Sol. It's a concept album in Portuguese that explores a world of vulnerable and organic sensations, creating a sound that ranges from alternative rock to folk, from progressive rock to electronic music.
Influenced by names such as Radiohead, Nick Drake, Ornatos Violeta, Porcupine Tree and Red House Painters, his music touches on different aesthetics that intertwine in an unpredictable way.
