<a href="spotify:artist:0e3Q1Vwj98kBonis4Rtfed" data-name="Aleka's Attic">Aleka's Attic</a> was a band, a fictional character and the brainchild of River Phoenix.
A songwriter since age 6 and self taught guitarist, River was passionate about music above all else. Soon after Chris Blackwell (Island Records) signed River to a development deal, he decided to form his band Aleka’s Attic which included Josh McKay, Joshua Greenbaum, Tim Hankins and his sister <a href="spotify:artist:5sfAQhaaU3v4N3qZZcTKfW" data-name="Rain Phoenix">Rain Phoenix</a> on vocals.
To celebrate what would have been River's 50th birthday, Rain's label imprint LaunchLeft released Aleka's Attic "Alone U Elope” (8/23/2020)
