Alekos Zazopoulos was born and raised in Ptolemaida.
He comes from a musical family and started singing in front of audiences when he was 14 years old.
At age 15 he took part in the TV show “Na I Efkeria” which led to his first music contract. In 1989 he released his first laiko studio album titled “Efthinome”. More songs and albums followed in the next couple of years and in 2006 he released his signature hit “Stin Igia Tis Aharistis”. Alekos Zazopoulos went from strength to strength releasing two live albums, studio albums such as “I Adres Den Parakalane”, “Anepanorthoti Zimia” as well two studio albums of traditional Greek songs.
In 2024 he signed with Heaven Music and released the single “Aniko stous Monahikous”, featuring music by Panos Kapiris and lyrics by Niki Spiropoulou.
Alekos also continues his successful live appearances at the ATHENS STAGE.
