She came into the public eye through her comedy work on TV.

She has starred in musicals like the super productions “Les Misérables”, “New York, New York”, “Ópera do Malandro”, “7 - O Musical” (which was written especially for her by Charles Möeller, Claudio Botelho and Ed Motta) and the off-Broadway show “Rent”.
In 2013 Alessandra released her first solo CD as a singer, “Drama’N Jazz”, which she is currently promoting on a tour.
A soprano with an impressive four-octave range, she is frequently mentioned by singing instructors and speech therapists as an example of a crossover singer, due to the ease in which she switches between different styles (Brazilian pop music, rock, jazz, opera, etc.).
She is one of the few artists to have received approval from songwriter and singer Chico Buarque for her translations of his lyrics into English. Mr. Buarque insisted jokingly that “Alessandra’s translations of my songs into English are, in my opinion, better than the originals.”
She has been the official host of the Bibi Ferreira Awards – the most important event for musicals in Brazil – since its first edition.
