Alex Lightspeed is a U.S. synthwave artist blending vintage guitars, analog-inspired synths, and modern production into cinematic outrun, cyberpunk, and retro electronic music. A veteran of the Pacific Northwest dance music scene, Alex has spent years building a sound that bridges nostalgic melodies with modern production and live instrumentation.

His 2025 cyberpunk concept album Lost Future features collaborations with Trevor Lund, Xerrah, Chill Collins, Phaserland, and other artists across the synthwave scene. The story continues with Alternate Timelines, a companion remix album featuring 15 remix artists, including Droid Bishop, Memory Design, WinDose, TEEEL, Jessy Mach, and more.

The title track from Crimson Sunset was featured on Horizon Wave Radio in Forza Horizon 5, bringing Alex's music to millions of players worldwide. Physical vinyl editions of Lost Future and Crimson Sunset are released in partnership with Rosso Corsa Records and RetroSynth Records / Lasersteel Records.

Alex performs live with The Most Excellent Band, featuring Nathan Whited (lead guitar), Gabriele Tam of The Neon Syndicate (keytar), and Siren☆Nephilim (vocals), with occasional appearances by Xerrah and saxophonist Trevor Lund.

Outside of music, Alex is the owner of Portland live event company Pulsar Productions, co-owner of Badkill Records and Madchill Records with Todd Daggett, and creator of the YouTube channel Lightspeed Fieros.
