Alexander Knue Muñoz is a German-Dominican-American composer, songwriter, and performer blending pop, rap, and video game music into a vivid, genre-flexible sound. Born in New York City and raised between Germany and Connecticut, he grew up on a mix of radio pop, internet culture, indie game soundtracks, and classical piano—a combination that continues to shape his emotionally open, playfully experimental style.
In 2020, he was a national finalist on Germany’s TV songwriting competition Dein Song (ZDF/KiKA) with “¡Desserts!”, a six-minute pop-rock-rap journey often compared to Bohemian Rhapsody for its dramatic turns and shifting styles. Studying at Columbia University, Alex arranged and conducted a fan-favorite UNDERTALE medley for the Columbia Pops orchestra’s Spring 2025 concert. Listeners called it powerful, beautiful, and “an absolute legend” moment.
Most recently, Alex released Schule le le, a tongue-in-cheek Deutschrap collaboration filled with inside jokes, absurd punchlines, and over-the-top energy made with friends at boarding school and recorded in his dorm. With nods to Capital Bra, meme culture, and Roblox, and Hamilton, the song and its music video playfully celebrate friendship, rebellion, and not taking yourself too seriously.
Whether crafting a sweeping orchestral arrangement or a dorm room rap anthem, Alex’s work invites listeners into sonic spaces that are colorful, self-aware, and emotionally charged.
