Alexander Kowalski has been a defining voice of Berlin techno for nearly three decades. Emerging in the late ’90s at Tresor under his alias DisX3, he quickly gained recognition for his driving live sets and a melodic yet powerful sound shaped by his releases on Heiko Laux´s label Kanzleramt. His acclaimed albums Echoes, Progress and Response, along with tracks like Speaker Attack and Belo Horizonte, are regarded as milestones of German techno.
Kowalski’s productions and remixes for artists such as Dave Gahan, Joris Voorn and Paul Kalkbrenner underline his wide-ranging influence, while performances at Awakenings, Time Warp, Mayday and countless other festivals have established him as an international mainstay. Beyond touring, he launched his own imprint Damage Music and continues to release on labels like Tresor, Mord and Tronic. Whether as Alexander Kowalski or under his DisX3 moniker, he bridges techno’s analog roots with a modern, forward-looking sound.
