Alfa is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a distinctly textured voice, catchy melodies, and disarmingly honest lyrical style. Born in Mindanao, raised in New York, and now living in Los Angeles, she has opened for acts like Us the Duo, Howie Day, and Kitchie Nadal, supported performances by Shawn Mendes and Sam Smith, and collaborated with Icelandic contemporary artist Ragnar Kjartansson. In 2020, she won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest's World Category with her Bisaya-English song, Alindahaw, and appeared on U.S. national TV as part of "Songs at the Center" on PBS. She likes rainbow cookies, watching the view from the window seat, mid-level math and meaningful conversations.
