Allen Bush is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist serving up a hearty mix of rootsy rock and groove-laden Americana.
Allen's roots run deep in the Northwest music scene; he co-founded indie jam-rock band The Strangers in 1989 while attending the University of Oregon.
The Strangers rose to popularity in San Francisco, a place he still calls home, with appearances at The Great American Music Hall, Slims, and The Fillmore.
They toured the U.S. heavily. sharing bills with bands like Widespread Panic, Leftover Salmon, Colonel Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit, Little Women (Jerry Joseph), Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and many more.
Alongside road-warrior companions in bands like Jambay and the Renegade Saints, The Strangers carried the west coast sound across the U.S., and returned west to spawn many new acts still thriving today.
Watch for Allen’s new release in early 2026.
