allie mcdonald is a talented Canadian artist. Using her unique and recognizable voice, as well as the magnificence of the piano she frequents, she’s released four albums: “Take Me Anywhere” (2010), “Addicted” (2016), as well as the holiday album "Holiday wishes" (2017) and most recently, "Hold Tight" (2020)! Her haunting sound and surprisingly powerful and dynamic voice can give chills to even the most detached listeners.
Allie has spent her life writing songs that evoke the same kind of emotions out of her listeners as she feels when she’s writing them – whether it's the good, bad, or ugly. Allie’s diverse sources of inspiration and music styles contribute to her versatility as a performer and a songwriter. She has always been incredibly passionate in all that she does, and wants to spend the rest of her life learning more instruments, and continuing to write the often heartbreaking music she loves.
Born with a passion for music, Allie hails from northern Alberta, where she won awards for her performances and songwriting. Allie grew up performing folk-music from her musical East Coast heritage, and went on to earn her Bachelors in classical Music from the University of Alberta. She now performs in the Chamber Folk genre - indie folk combined with chamber pop-style, contributed by her classical music background.
