Fiona is an independent artist and professional songwriter who has spent most of career as a writer for hire and staff songwriter working in Sydney, Nashville, New York and Los Angeles. She has written 12 no.1 hits, twenty hit singles, won numerous awards and had over one hundred songs recorded worldwide.
Fiona's attention grabbing roots rock influenced album, "Cypress Grove" had music critics swooning, earning her a nomination for ARIA Best New Pop Artist.
She moved to the US to work as a staff writer with Warner Chappell Music before relocatingto Los Angeles. The move allowed her to branch out into all kinds of genres and work with a diverse range of talented collaborators including Kevin Savigar, John Five (Marilyn Manson), and film score composers such as Emmy winner Jim Dooley. LA also inspired her second album, the emotionally taut and poetic Shadow Wine And Truth Lilies.
Fiona’s eagerness to push boundaries and re define what is possible as a songwriter and artist means her music is constantly evolving as well as mapping her own personal development. This is beautifully clear in her latest album, The Art Of Being. It’s a contemplative and spiritually charged body of work – with the songs being equally informed by Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity and transcendental meditation – of which she is a long time practitioner.
