Almamegretta is an Italian ethno/dub combo based in Neaples. They’re born in 1991 and since then they’ve been collaborating with many artists and producers, such as Adrian Sherwood, Bill Laswell, Massive Attack, Leftfield, Gaudi and more.
Their manifesto is a mix of mediterranean cultural elements with deep dub basslines and drums. Their last album, out on Sanacore Records, is called NN DUB and features remixes by @ Adrian Sherwood, Dennis Bovell, Gaudi, Vibronics, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Manasseh, Mario Conte, Dj Khalab & Mess Morize, Paolo Baldini.
The production of the new DUB BOX VOL 1 ONE WORLD EP is produced by Elastica Records team. Deleted Soul produces a tribal “Black Athena”, sung by Raiz with a new flow. Cumbia sounds for Filoq that produces “W.o.p.” Go_dratta produces a power “Fattallà” bass music version and a version of “Gramigna”, historical song of the Neapolitan band, produced by Funsui.
