Alpaca Mode is a synth-driven project born somewhere between nostalgia, neon lights and a slightly questionable cult ritual.
What started as written lyrics looking for a voice found its sound through AI — giving words a pulse, melodies a memory and emotions a place to dance. The story began with the artist Grummelpott and a first experimental duet. What was meant as a test quickly escaped its boundaries, grew a life of its own and became Alpaca Mode.
Since then, the gentlemen of Alpaca Mode have been haunting ears around the world with warm 80s synths, melancholic pop melodies and hooks that sound cheerful… until you realize what you’re actually singing along to.
Yes, this project uses AI to bring music to life — openly, creatively and without hiding it. The heart, the stories and the lyrics remain human. The machines just help them breathe.
