Alpha Lighting System is a four piece band from Mexico City inspired by science, space exploration and spirituality. Alpha Lighting System's music is daringly energetic and combines elements of jazz fusion, progressive metal and electronic music.
Since its foundation in 2013, Alpha Lighting System have recorded four albums and have worked along with Billy Sherwood (Yes) and Bruce Soord (The Pineapple Thief).
In 2018, the band was winner of the 7NoteMusicChallenge hosted by Serj Tankian along with Armenian superstar Mariam Petrosian.
In 2020, Alpha Lighting System’s third studio album “H+” was selected as the Best Latin-American Prog Rock Album of 2020 by Nación Progresiva (Chile). The
band performed at the online event ATOMPROG FEST 2020 to present the album.
Their new album DUALITAS is a journey from light to darkness inspired by the concepts of duality and balance. Drawing deeply from Latin American rhythms, jazz fusion, and progressive metal, this album ignites a new musical chapter for Alpha Lighting System.
