Amantes del Futuro is the original cumbianchero project of the producer and composer Ima Felini which began in 2002. In those years he started La Super Cumbia Futurista collective that brought together various DJs, bands and producers of the moment in Mexico City inviting them to persue a new futuristic horizon and experiment with this style to produce new original cumbias. Since then he has musicalized various parties throughout Mexico, Europe, China, and Latin America taking his own music and Cumbia in all its styles to all kinds of events, places and people. He has produced several songs for movies, series and groups but never released an album under his name until Sabor Sónico I. Amantes del Futuro bases their sound on their favorite Cumbia styles such as the Colombian, the Sonidera, the Cumbia Rebajada, the Poblana, the Edited Cumbias or Wepas, Villeras and the Chicha.
