Meet Ambidextroux!
Lost in the desert and exhausted by the heat, Ambidextroux claimed the ghost of James Brown appeared in front of him, slapped him in the face, gave him a guitar and said to him, "make them dance", he then woke up and wrote the song 'Handclaps', a visceral throwback to songs like Chubby Checker's 'The Twist' and Little Richard's 'Tutti Frutti'.
Though he looked like Freddie Mercury he was more of a mexican Jimi Hendrix with the sassiness of Prince rolled into one. Those same chameleon qualities translate to his music too. Determined to bring the 2 minute single back, most of his tracks were short, hooky, and catchy as hell.
In 2013, Ancient Order of the Droids took unreleased outtakes from Ambidextroux's recording sesions and released the 'Evil dead' inspired synthpop single 'Be My Halloween', continuing their annual Halloween tradition all the way up to 2020's 'The Scary Spaghetti Spooky Hour' compilation album featuring their 13 Halloween themed collaborations during the years.
In 2015, 'Meet Ambidextroux!' a compilation of the rocker's early singles and EPs was released. In February, 2018, 'Slashers!' found him delving into some Hip Hop influences while lyrically writing a love letter to the pop culture he loved at the time of his passing in 1996.
In March 17th, 2023 Ambidextroux returns with 'Night Creatures of the Night 91', a Hypnagogic State Written Concept Album about a Homeless Preacher, Murder and Glory Holes.
