Ambivalent is an Indonesian melodic hardcore band formed in 2022 in Turen, Malang District. It consists of vocalist Geri Kusuma, guitarists Dimas and Iqbal Rahmatillah, bassist Rona Rendy and drummer Damai Lintang.
The band name, Ambivalent is taken from its literal meaning: having mixed feelings or contradictory ideas, like loving and hating someone at the same time. A name that drives them to write most of their songs. To express our feelings towards someone meaningful in life.
A feeling that made us write our first single "Never Felt My Breath Again", which is about an effort that is never appreciated, even ends in cruel rejection. But in the end we know that we just have to let it go.
