Born Ana Maria Florentino Dos Santos in Pernambuco, Brazil, Ana Flora started singing in her native country. After a well-received performance at the Spoleto Jazz Festival, she decided to continue her career as a world music artist in Italy. In 2002 she was invited to the Festival Bar, where she sang "Paraiso do Mundo." The song (available as a single or on compilations only) became a hit after it was featured in two important TV spots.
