Anchor & Braille is the alt-rock-flavored solo project of <a href="spotify:artist:1S2egSoRjdPc7t2eXIrpjD">Stephen Christian</a>, a byproduct of writing more material than he could use in, or that would be appropriate for, his former band <a href="spotify:artist:5v61OSg53KaQxGMpErkBNp">Anberlin</a>. The singer's music for the moniker has tended to be more personal in nature and more sonically restrained than the band's. Produced by Aaron Marsh of <a href="spotify:artist:31HpswGOiF0Mc2wm11sIoN">Copeland</a>, Anchor & Braille's debut album, Felt, was released in 2009 by <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Wood+Water%22">Wood Water</a> and <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Federal+Records%22">Federal Records</a>.
