Formed in May of 2010, Attalus is a much beloved and much missed five-piece band from Raleigh, NC. After the release of their debut album in 2010, “The Greater Tide EP”, Attalus established themselves in a saturated field of post-rock, alternative, genre-expanding bands. Fueled by the conceptual lyricism and evocative ballad-style compositions of singer/songwriter/pianist, Seth Davey, and driven forward by the dynamic, masterful guitar and compositional work of singer/screamer Evan King and John Sierra, and held together by the expert drumming of Chris Sierra, and undergirded by the bass-slapping of formative original member John Amos, Attalus went on to release two independent full lengths--"Post Tenebras Lux" (2011) and "Gospel Hymns, Vol. 1" (2013), before getting signed to Facedown Records with their 16-song collaborative opus, "Into the Sea."

Attalus has since disbanded, but there is plenty new music to enjoy from the band members. From Seth Davey's 12-song, piano-driven concept album "Kingdom Rising", to John Sierra's acoustic-americana debut EP, "The Wonder", to Evan King's (Old Solar) post-rock instrumental album, "Quiet Prayers", the river that was Attalus continues to branch out into new streams.
