Andy Sydow

Americana, rock, folk, singer-songwriter, Andy Sydow is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who&#39;s lyrics paint a picture of poetic realism. Touring consistently both solo and with a backing band, Sydow is known to sway an audience with acoustic guitar ballads, sing a few numbers on his lap steel, and even sit down at the keys to show off his surprising boogie-woogie piano chops. He draws comparisons to voices like <a href="spotify:artist:2CvCyf1gEVhI0mX6aFXmVI" data-name="Paul Simon">Paul Simon</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5lkiCO9UQ8B23dZ1o0UV4m" data-name="Jackson Browne">Jackson Browne</a>, mixed with a roots rock vibe reminiscent of <a href="spotify:artist:4tX2TplrkIP4v05BNC903e" data-name="Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers">Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers</a> or <a href="spotify:artist:02seUFsFQP7TH4hLrTj77o" data-name="Nathaniel Rateliff &amp; The Night Sweats">Nathaniel Rateliff &amp; The Night Sweats</a>.

Andy has had the chance to open for acts such as <a href="spotify:artist:3vidJsiALgVC5ZuweJgeDT" data-name="Chuck Prophet">Chuck Prophet</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1MspPfENB9nzFGaagXmF7R" data-name="Lucero">Lucero</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0FC1LIeQXKib0jOwZqeIwT" data-name="Brett Dennen">Brett Dennen</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:4pLxUMyDrijXynrUP59whJ" data-name="Shane Smith &amp; the Saints">Shane Smith &amp; the Saints</a>. He is also a 2X Kerrville New Folk Finalist.

This fall, Sydow will release Night Skin, a full length album produced by <a href="spotify:artist:3WUUtA45g7X0jbeywZz888" data-name="Anders Osborne">Anders Osborne</a> at Dockside Studio in Maurice, LA.

When he&#39;s not touring, writing, recording, or producing other artists, Sydow spends time talking to other creatives and music industry professionals on his podcast, Middle Class Rock Star.
