Using personal experiences as a driver behind the lyrics, Raoul writes about loneliness and sadness on the one hand, to love and hopefulness on the other.
Having started playing music when he was 14 years old, picking up the guitar out of interest, he slowly discovered his love for writing and all things music. After joining a band in 2012, he began to take music more seriously, contributing by writing many of the songs they have released so far. In 2017 he left the band, in order to pursue a degree abroad. It was during this time that he discovered his own sound, influenced by all genres he has experienced thus far. He cites his biggest influences as being Gregory Alan Isakov, Zach Bryan, and The Wonder Years, making for an eclectic pool of inspiration to draw from. It was only until 2022 that his friends and family convinced him to start producing them and share them with the world. And here he is. Armed with nothing but his guitar, Raoul writes melancholic and personal songs, ready to evoke feelings of sadness, and paints vivid pictures with through his lyrics. He likes telling stories and it defintely shows in his music.
He is currently in the process of recording his debut EP "All Roads Lead Home". His debut singles "Kansas City (Forget My Yesterday)" and "Catherine" are out now!
