"Go on: Just try to find a single soul who’s seen Angie Stevens live and not been completely entranced. Bolstered by songs that are often chillingly poignant ... Stevens makes the icicles form on your spine the minute she takes the stage.” Westword, Best Singer/Songwriter of Denver
Angie Stevens has made a name for herself over her 20 year long career. She was named Denver’s Best Singer/Songwriter by both the editors and fans of Westword (Denver) as well as Emerging Artist of the Year and Best Independent Artist of the Year (Hapiskratch Records). Stevens rapidly gained national attention with a national tour and sponsorships from Coors, Southwest Airlines and Cowgirl Punk Clothing. She also charted #5 on EuroAmerican radio chart and #6 on Roots Music Report with the release of Queen of this Mess, recorded in New York with Grammy award-winning producer Malcolm Burn (Emmylou Harris, Red Dirt Girl). Stevens put out Beautiful & True in 2016 with John Macy (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band). On the album, highly acclaimed singer/songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov joined her on her song “Sweet Emily.”
In 2021, Angie was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and spent a year doing surgery and treatments. As soon as the dust settled and she was in remission, Angie decided to go back into the studio and record the songs she wrote over some of the toughest years of her life. The new Album "Learn to Let the Light in" will be released November 2022.
