Vocalist, songwriter, improviser, a passionate visionary. Anna Maria Jopek’s style is a fusion of improvisation, Polish traditional sounds, and European classical music. Born into an artistic family – Anna Maria’s parents performed in the Polish legendary folk group “Mazowsze”. A pianist by education (Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw), she also studied philosophy at the Warsaw University. In the course of her professional career, she has won every prominent Polish music award possible. For years, Jopek has been writing music adopting classical and traditional music themes to exceptional, multi-faceted projects that bring together the world’s most outstanding musicians such as <a href="spotify:artist:3t58jfUhoMLYVO14XaUFLA" data-name="Pat Metheny">Pat Metheny</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1gPY6jETlC02stpXOUmSBH" data-name="Branford Marsalis">Branford Marsalis</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7Gv9weyLTeDrDjABqHnged" data-name="Makoto Ozone">Makoto Ozone</a>, or <a href="spotify:artist:0qEGZBnqUgcVlTE7EEjR2F" data-name="Gonzalo Rubalcaba">Gonzalo Rubalcaba</a>. In 2017 Anna also spontaneously sung a duet with <a href="spotify:artist:0Ty63ceoRnnJKVEYP0VQpk" data-name="Sting">Sting</a> at a New Year’s TV program. A In October 2018 she released the album „<a href="spotify:album:6F83hPR9HjEfFBLWngTXtl" data-name="Ulotne">Ulotne</a>” (Elusive) recorded with <a href="spotify:artist:1gPY6jETlC02stpXOUmSBH" data-name="Branford Marsalis">Branford Marsalis</a> that escapes classification of music styles and broadly interprets Slavic motifs in scales, poetics and moods.
