Anomalyst

Hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia, Anomalyst was formed in 2012 by high school friends Christianto Ario Wibowo (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Aryorespati “Ares” Xavier (vocals, guitar) and Farizky “Ricky” Wijanarko (drums). After their original bass player left to study abroad upon graduating high school, the band commenced writing original material while going through a succession of bassists for live shows. They finally settled on Ignatius “Riga” Rigaskara, who joined them during the recording of their acclaimed 2017 debut album Segara.

In between building a reputation as a formidable live act after Segara’s release, Ares and Ricky graduated from their respective universities, Riga worked as road manager for <a href="spotify:artist:5RbI1PF4n02wWKmgjk7hAE" data-name="Barasuara">Barasuara</a> while Ario moonlighted as live guitarist for <a href="spotify:artist:6x92tfaXHuPBctPxrfTeMY" data-name="Mondo Gascaro">Mondo Gascaro</a> and released a solo album written and recorded in two weeks as <a href="spotify:artist:5Le7DsHESXGLb12JNKPpnR" data-name="Kurosuke">Kurosuke</a> with the other members of Anomalyst participating as the backing band for <a href="spotify:artist:5Le7DsHESXGLb12JNKPpnR" data-name="Kurosuke">Kurosuke</a> live shows.

In August 2018, Anomalyst returned to its core trio of Ario, Ares and Ricky due to Riga’s departure after recording his parts for their second album, <a href="spotify:album:69E8Q8r9ALjjykjwJpFUFL" data-name="Cipta Rasa Karsa">Cipta Rasa Karsa</a> with Nugi Wicaksono of <a href="spotify:artist:1DjZI46mVZZZYmmmygRnTw" data-name="Reality Club">Reality Club</a> currently filling in on live bass duties.
