Antimonia is a dynamic two-man project from Finland that combines the paradoxical essence of antinomy with the metalloid element of antimony to create a unique sound we call progressive metalloid or "half-metal". We blend elements of progressive rock, metalcore, progressive metal, but also other styles to craft a hybrid form of light progressive metal.
Our debut single was released on the 13th of September 2024. Finished back in 2021, recorded later, this song marks the true beginning of Antimonia.
Our inspiration comes from a wide range of musical genres and real-life events. Each composition begins with a rhythmic or harmonic idea that sets the mood and style, guiding the song's emotional journey. Each song strives to offer something new within the context of our style, ensuring a fresh and engaging experience for listeners while remaining accessible to a broad audience. We approach our work piece by piece, aiming to evoke the deep emotions we feel during the creation process. We are committed to creating and releasing more songs in the future.
