Anton Commissaris is a composer, pianist, and singer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. After a distinguished career in Silicon Valley’s tech industry, Anton turned his focus to a lifelong passion: creating music that blends timeless melodies with heartfelt storytelling. Drawing from a rich palette of Jazz, Soul, R&B, and Country, Anton crafts songs that reflect the emotional depth and lyrical elegance of the Great American Songbook - while adding his own personal modern voice. His songwriting is inspired by legends such as Cole Porter, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, and Willie Nelson, with early influences from the melodic genius of Lennon and McCartney.
Vocally, Anton channels the emotional expressiveness of Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, and Donny Hathaway, while also honoring the power and nuance of great female artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Etta James, and Lauryn Hill.
Anton’s music explores the themes that connect us all—love, longing, resilience, and the search for meaning. His lyrics often paint vivid scenes from nature and daily life, offering listeners emotional clarity, introspection, and an undercurrent of hope.
Since releasing his debut EP On a Bright Note in 2021, Anton has recorded and released nine EPs and over 45 original songs. Each release marks a new chapter in his artistic evolution—thoughtful, soulful, and deeply human.
