Hailing from Tbilisi, Georgia (based in Utrecht/NL) - young composer Anushka Chkheidze creates an immersive world of ambient and IDM, blending serene synths with intricate rhythms. Her music is a journey through space and emotion.
With her debut album, “Halfie,” Anushka introduced us to a realm where floating rhythms and euphoric beats coexist in perfect harmony. Her follow-up, “Move 20-21,” takes listeners deeper into a cinematic soundscape, reflecting her roots in film and theater composition.
In the newly renovated research center in Basel, Switzerland, she made field recordings as well as piano and choir recordings last year, leading to her newly released album “Clean, Clear and White”. That was Anushka’s experiment to get back childhood skills to use acoustic instruments and multiple voices.
