Anxious Hands is a melodic hardcore band from Maine that started in early 2018. The band formed as a collection of friends from various other bands in the southern Maine scene. The first lineup, consisting of vocalist Trevor Laliberte, guitarists Saoirse Hitz and Zach DeFosse, bassist Teagan Stritch, and drummer Tyler Bilodeau, released their debut single “Home” in April 2018 and played their first few shows that summer.
Eventually, the band released their debut EP “Dissociate” in March 2019. Cutting their teeth with other notable bands in the northeast like To Live as Wolves, Subleties, Hallowell, and If Not for Me, Anxious Hands began to develop a loyal fanbase in northern New England.
After a quiet summer, vocalist Trevor Laliberte stepped down from the band and Saoirse Hitz moved to vocals. In April 2020, Anxious Hands released their single “What Did You Expect” with new vocalist Saoirse and are continuing to work on new music.
