Hi, it's Aodhán King (pronounced Aiden, It’s Irish). I was born on Christmas Day, 1992, in Sydney, Australia. I remember the first time I picked up a guitar, I was 14. I had met a girl at a party a few nights earlier and she asked me if I knew how to play ‘Mango Tree’ by Angus and Julia stone, I didn’t, but I knew I needed to know how before I saw her next, so I spent every moment I could learning it.. it didn’t work out, but, that was my first introduction to the power of music. Not long after I found myself at a church youth service, getting to experience how music gave people a way to express their faith, moved me in ways, to this day I can't shake. I started volunteering, writing songs and singing with the church band. It was there, with some of my closest friends, that we formed the band Young & Free. Before we knew it, we were traveling and performing all across the world. It feels crazy to even say that we are a twice GRAMMY-nominated band, have over 1.2 billion streams in North America alone and eight #1 singles. I’ve also had the great honor of working with some incredible artists and friends, contributing to songs like Hillsong UNITED’s “Whole Heart (Hold Me Now)”, Hillsong Worship’s “Touch of Heaven”, Cody Carnes’ “Take You At Your Word”, Benjamin William Hastings’ “While I'm In The Wind” and “What a Friend ”, Elevation Worships “Great Is”, LANY’s, “Alonica”. I’m now based in LA, getting ready to release my first solo record. I’m excited and hope you enjoy.
