Dublin born but London based Aoife Carton spent 2020 honing her craft so that 2021 could be her biggest year for releases yet. Aoife Carton has developed her sound since she started writing songs at the age of fifteen. A writer before a songwriter, lyrics are at the heart of her music. Influenced by a range of artists and genres, Aoife's newer music has developed a Country-Pop feel, the genre of music she loves to listen to most, inspired by her trips to Music City.
Aoife has played the like of Dublin’s Ruby Sessions as well as gigs in Whelan’s, Bello Bar and The Workman’s Club. She has also played NYC’s The Scratcher Sessions, and in what she claims to be the best night of her life, The Bluebird Café’s open mic night.
Aoife's past singles have been played on RTÉ Radio 1, Country Hits Radio, 4FM, KCLR and Dublin City FM to name a few. She made her UK debut at 2000 Trees festival in 2019, and following her move to London, her single 'Lay My Cards Down' was played on Tom Robinson's Fresh on the Net, on BBC 6 Music.
Inspired by Taylor Swift, Tenille Townes, Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town and Tim McGraw (to name a small, small few of her idols) she hopes her music will eventually lead her back to Nashville.
