2017年に坂井玲音（Vo /Gt）が高校の軽音部で結成。 メンバーの脱退加入を経て現体制(Vo /Gt/坂井玲音、Gt/アラユ、Ba/村尾ケイト)に。Creepy Nuts、羊文学を擁する（株）次世代が初めて開催したオーディション「Go To オーディション」にて1,000組を超える応募者の中でグランプリを獲得。 2023年8月には「SUMMER SONIC」の候補出場枠オーディション「出れんの!?サマソニ!?」にて入賞し、見事出演を果たす。
2024年6月にはMajor 1st EP「WANDERS」にてメジャーデビュー。 収録曲の「Mustang」が全国各地のラジオ曲でパワープレイを獲得し、2024年6月19日発表のラジオ・オンエア・チャート（集計期間：2024年6月10日～6月16日プランテック調べ）では、Apes「Mustang」が１位を獲得。
さらに2024年8月にも「SUMMER SONIC」にてSONICステージのオープニングアクトとして出演。
EP「WANDERS」を引っ提げて、全国７箇所に渡るツアーを完走した。進化を続け、今後のロックシーンを牽引していく次世代バンドとして、動向が注目されている。

2021: With Arayu (Gt) and Keto Murao (Ba) Apes won the Grand Prix of “Go To Audition” which Jisedai Inc. held.
2023: Pass the “DERENNO!? SAMASONI!? / Audition for SUMMER SONIC” and performed at SUMMER SONIC 2023.
2024: Released their first major-label EP “WANDERS” and the song “Mustang” was a hit among radio stations. With their success Apes went back to SUMMER SONIC 2024.
